The road construction currently causing severe gridlock in parts of Bridgeville is projected to wrap up tomorrow afternoon, according to Bridgeville Mayor Pat DeBlasio.
The intersection of Bower Hill Road and Railroad Street has been closed since early Wednesday morning. Although police advised motorists to avoid the area if at all possible—and officers are positioned at key spots along the detour—the result has been a “horrible” “painful” “nightmare” according to comments on social media.
While the road is closed, the construction crews are working to upgrade the railroad crossing at the intersection.
Avoid Bridgeville at all costs today
